This audition is now closed.
We are thankful for being able to say that many people from all over the world have auditioned!
Once again we saw that there are many truly passionate people who want to work not only in the Japanese entertainment,
but also across the world.
For now the "Amuse Multilingual Artists Audition" is closed.
However, maybe there will be a chance to open an audition like this again in the future.
We hope there will be a chance to meet all of you who didn't or couldn't audition during this run then!
The Amuse Multilingual Artists Audition Administration Office wants to wholeheartedly thank you for your interest and participation!
※ We plan to contact those who passed the first screening by February, 15, 2017.
People who are able to speak in multiple languages, or multilingual artists,
are increasingly in demand in the Entertainment Industry today.
We live in an era when Asian, South American, and European languages are becoming
as important as English, and we expect to see multilingual artists being used more frequently
than ever before and in more diverse roles.
Dean Fujioka and Chiaki Horan, multilingual artists from Amuse Inc.,
are utilizing their skills in movies, TV, radio, commercials, music, fashion,
and more all around the world.
Amuse Inc., which has 8 locations worldwide - including America, Europe, and Asia - would like to hold an audition to scout and promote new multilingual artists similar to these two Amuse stars.
While the individual’s communication skill through linguistic abilities is one of the screening criteria, it is more important for the artist to possess a strong passion for wanting to entertain Japan, and the whole world.
To those out there with great hidden talents,
we are looking forward to hearing from you!

QDoes "Multilingual Artists" mean that I cannot apply if I can't speak several foreign languages?
"Multilingual" leads to the idea of having to be able to speak 3+ languages. However, you can enter the audition if you can speak Japanese in addition to any other language.
QMy _________ is at the conversational level.
Yes, you can. Your foreign language proficiency can be at a conversational level at this moment. We will arrange a program for you to improve your foreign language. Therefore, we are targeting artists who have used a foreign language, have taken foreign language classes, or are now in class for a foreign language.
QMy first language is __________ (not Japanese). Can I still apply?
Yes, you can. Should you be selected, we will arrange a program for you to improve your Japanese.
QCan the other language (in addition to Japanese) be any language?
It can be any language.
QCan I send other promotional materials such as photos or sound links besides the ones stated on the application?
The preliminary audition includes only the materials specified on the website.
Please enter the audition process as instructed.
QDo photos and videos have to be taken by a professional or at a studio?
The quality of the photos and videos will not affect our judgment. We will even accept cell phone photos! So don't worry. Just note that your appeal might get lost if your image is dark and fuzzy, or if your voice is hard to hear. So try to find a location with good lighting, take a clear image, and speak strongly.
QWhen you say "commercial shot (above the waist)", what are you looking for?
A photo that clearly shows your face is necessary, and we'd ideally like to see from the top of your head down to your chest.
QWhat kind of full-body shot are you looking for?
With the full-body shot, we prefer a normal photo of you standing and facing the camera, rather than you striking a pose.
With both photos, please wear simple clothing so we can see the true you. We are more interested in who you are than what you wear.
QCan I wear makeup?
We prefer audition footage with no makeup, but if you choose to wear cosmetics, we suggest light makeup/a natural look. Also, if you wear glasses, please take them off when shooting.
QAfter the application is processed､what will happen to my audition photos/videos?
The administrative office will discard the submitted materials responsibly.
QWhen and how will I be contacted about my audition results?
Only candidates who have passed the audition will be contacted by a company staff member.
QCan I apply through a smart phone?
Yes. Anywhere you have internet, you can apply by computer or your smart phone.
※We recommend you use your browser's newest version.
QI am a university student at the moment. Can I enter the audition?
Yes,you can enter the audition. We have artists under contract who are students currently.
QCan we apply from overseas?
Yes you can. We do not ask where you currently reside.
QWhen, where, and how will the next stage in the audition occur? How many stages are there in total?
These details will only be explained to those who pass the first audition stage.
QHow much is it to submit an application？
There are no fees to apply. Your own online computer/smart phone fees apply, however.
QWill I be charged fees after I pass the audition？
